The Voicethread tools used in addition to the regular class welcoming video appeals to the bulleted point in standards nine  that describes using media to transfer knowledge in the most effective way. They can respond here with text, audio of video.  This enhances the communication aspect and transparency of the classroom and encourages barrier free pathways to promote participation. The combination of the regular welcome class video and the Voicethread ones promote different learning styles and are best practices in learning strategy, offering a multifaceted avenue for students to use. The technology is built in to the website requiring no download or special hardware. 

 

Student  use this tool "out-of-the-box" easily and without much problem. In the event they do have problems they can contact me or technical support for help.
