Discussion Boards

Bringing to the forefront and as a most-used tool in online classes the discussion board appeals to the standard one bullet that emphasizes student to bring real life and personal experiences in the classroom. While this philosophy works under controlled and focuses circumstances the discussion board can be part of this tool.  The example artifact here is an example of several discussion Board forums I use.

The following is my philosophy about how to use Discussion Boards effectively:

  • The informal forum gives students their own "room" and conversations can cover
anything as long as learners treat opinions with respect and a critical sense.

  • Places the emphasis on the academic discussion board topics that focus on
interactively learning the course material and content examples

  • Build the dynamic presence and helps for the community that is critical in online classes.

  • Builds another level of achievement to edify students and reaffirms their integration
into the fabric of the class

There are time limits on creating and responding to the forums, significant points are given and the discussion board is open and public to all students enrolled in the class.
