Leadership cannot be done in a vacuum. Feedback, prompt responses and clear expectations need to be based on the learning outcomes of the class and supported by the available data. If you don't know where you are, every path leads you to your destination. The following image is a screen shot of the course activity report.
Student Data
Student data continues to escalate as the new accreditation priority. Data on students now drives the measuring stick for student achievement and persistence in California. I use the course activity reports for checking the efficacy of the different assignments and course content usage by learners.
The course data is complex and defines the ability of the faculty to continue down the same teaching path or adjust to new and clear information. I have always set my courses content, assignment, interaction and assessments to give me on-demand data that I can use at any time to validate my teaching. The course evaluations artifact in this item shows an example of a course activity report that I use.
