@ONE Certification Portfolio

Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio for @ONE certification!
I have been in Higher Education for almost 30 years and getting this certification is one of the most important achievements I can imagine. I have been a full-time college faculty for 15 years and am now a technical and pedagogical person for our Distance Education program at Southwestern College.
I am convinced that @ONE is the most prestigious and integritous organization to offer this kind of intense certification of any of my previous DE certifications. I have enjoyed my time with Lene, Rechelle, Tracy and all the rest in the two year long learning adventure that has now successfully culminated.
I hope those who are giving part of their precious time to view my portfolio will learn something from the content presented here. I have worked very hard to set my personal standard equal to the high achievement standard that @ONE demands.
The portfolio covers the nine standards that @ONE uses. I have included many samples and other artifacts to support my knowledge and expertise.
I will continue to sharpen my skills and become a better instructor for my peers and for those students I am fortunate enough to come into contact with. This is definitely not the end but a beginning for me including more self-confidence and a heightened sense of belonging to a very elite and honorable profession.
I hope you enjoy your visit!

Consider this:
Elephants are the world's most community oriented animal on the planet, including humans. They are sentient beings that have emotions very similar to humans such as grief and love, depression and joy, humility and pride. They will remove the tusks from a long dead elephant and bring it into the bush as part of their grieving process… Without thier strong community they would not survive................
Like a successful online class, community has to be created, fed and cared for.
“If there were no goodness in people, mankind would still be confined to loping across a Savannah somewhere on Earth, watching the elephants rule, or some other more compassionate species.”
― Orson Scott Card, The Worthing Saga
There are no boundaries for you, only the ones you place upon yourself. . .
