Southwestern College is proud to be a part of the Western eTutoring Consortium, a group of colleges stretching along the west coast, offering SWC students free access to online tutoring in a myriad of subjects, including the following: 

 

•    Accounting

•    Anatomy & Physiology

•    Biology

•    Calculus

•    Chemistry

•    Economics

•    Engineering (Circuits & Digital Systems only)

•    Math (Developmental through Trigonometry)

•    Microsoft Office

•    Physics

•    Psychology

•    Spanish

•    Statistics

•    Web Development (xHTML, CSS, and Dreamweaver)

•    Writing (note: SWC has a separate Online Writing Lab available at http://swccd.edu/owl)

 

The consortium employs peer tutors with the same level of training and experience as SWC tutors, and the program is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), the international body that oversees tutoring programs. (Tutoring provided by LAS is CRLA certified)

 

Online tutoring is available to all SWC who are currently registered! eTutoring services include:

 

Live Tutoring via eChat allows you to meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment. Live sessions are offered in every subject but writing.

 

The offline eQuestions allow you to leave a

specific question for an eTutor, who will

respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner). 

eQuestions may be submitted for

any subject area in the list above.
